I first had the pleasure of meeting Jane + Oscar when I photographed them after recently getting engaged. Jane’s bestie and one of her bridesmaids, Morgan, had entered them into a competition to win an engagement session with me – Jane + Oscar were the lucky recipients! Their wedding day was a beautiful celebration of two cultures coming together. Oscar is Colombian, a true romantic and lover of fine wine, and Jane, an Auckland girl and lover of cheese(check out their cake!)….and fine wine, so they really are the perfect match! After meeting and living together in Sydney, they are now living in Jane’s home town of Devonport. They were married on a balmy Saturday afternoon of Auckland Anniversary Weekend at The Officers Mess at Fort Takapuna. Rangitoto sat proudly in the distance providing an impressive backdrop. Jane + Oscar decided to do a ‘first look’ and the bridal party photographs before their wedding ceremony which is such a great idea. It meant that the day ran so smoothly and they had lots of time to spend with their family and friends that had travelled from near and far. Jane + Oscar, thank you so much for sharing your special day with me. I had such fun capturing your wedding and you were a dream couple to photograph! You are a warm and lovely couple both inside and out, and along with your bridal party, you all looked stunning and sophisticated. I am sure you will treasure these memories for many many years.
